In Memoriam: Ursula von Rydingsvard

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Ursula von Rydingsvard, 53, after a long battle with cancer. She was a Chatham Township County Committee member; and a founding member of the Chatham Moms for Change as well as the Empathy Project.

She touched the lives of many in her community and throughout Morris County. After a long and successful career in the news media with CNN and MSNBC and later as CEO of her own video production company, she dedicated herself to local activism.

Ursula’s inspiring life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by family and her dear friends.

“Chatham and CMFC won’t be the same without her,” said Chatham Township Committeewoman Stacey Ewald. “There will always be a gaping hole in everything we do, but we will think of Ursula at every rally, every letter writing, every get-together. She will be with us in our hearts as we continue to make good trouble.”
