Congratulations to All Candidates
Dear Morris County Democrats — Congratulations to all the candidates who won the Primary Election and are now officially on the ballot for November! And, thank you to everyone who was elected yesterday to serve on the County Committee.
Of course, the high point of last night was a resounding victory for MIkie Sherrill, who won 62% of the Morris Dem vote!
This was a team effort across Morris County. Thanks to everyone — the Municipal Chairs, elected officials, Committee Members and many volunteers — who helped make it happen!
Many of you worked tirelessly, hitting the pavement and the phones to reach voters. And, new volunteers turned up, too. I was at the MCDC Office yesterday when a first-time, motivated canvasser showed up to get out the vote. A huge thanks to Shea Seiff, for coordinating, and always with a smile!
Of course, not everyone was a Mikie supporter, and some of you are disappointed. I am asking for you to please join the effort to help elect Mikie as our next governor. I hope no one sits out the General Election because their candidate didn’t win yesterday.
Let’s unify and work together to reject a Republican candidate who would be a disaster for our state; doesn’t share our values; and will not fight back against Trump.
Thank you for all you’ve done to help turn out the vote for MIkie in Morris! Let’s land this in November!
