Join Our County Convention

We are excited to announce details for participating in the annual Morris County Democratic Convention! This event will showcase candidates running for county and state office and allows you to cast a vote to decide who gets the Party ballot line.
Voting Rights are given to:
- County Committee Members (District Leaders)
- Municipal Chairs
- Democratic Elected Officials
- State Committee Members
- County Executive Board
- Caucus Chairs
- Former County Chairs
- Former County Vice Chairs
Election Information
Voting Starts at the end of the convention. Voting closes at 6pm Sunday March 19th. What elections one can vote in is determined by the voter's registered voting address. Each participant is given a single vote per election. In the case of a tie the County Chair decides.
To ensure you will be able to participate in the election voters should provide a working email address to the county, which can be done by registering for the event below at the bottom of this page.
The county will do its best to proactively ensure participation as well.
The Voting Method
The vote will be administered via blind ballot through Opavote.
For races where you vote for more than one candidate, the voting method will be rank choice voting, specifically the Scottish STV method

For Races where you vote for one candidate, the method will be Instant Runoff Voting
The races on the ballot:
- County Clerk
- County Commissioner
- State Legislative races for LD 21, 24, 25, and 26
