Chip Robinson
Chair
Over the past 15 years, Chip has served the MCDC as Sargeant-at-Arms, Political Director, and Executive Director. Chip’s work for the MCDC has resulted in the greatest number of Democratic victories in Morris County since the Watergate era. Chip works as an attorney at Degrado Halkovich, LLC. He graduated from Morristown High School, Rutgers University, and Seton Hall Law School. Chip grew up in Morris Township and currently resides in Lincoln Park.
Robin Gurin
Vice Chair
Robin Gurin is a lifelong resident of Morris County, she has been involved in democratic politics since 2016, working to help turn Somerset County blue and secure victory for Governor Murphy and Congressman Malinowski. Merging her 25+ year background in Music, TV and Theater has seamlessly led her to working in the political arena for the Democratic party. Robin was honored to be a New Jersey Biden/Harris Delegate, team leader for the Jersey for Joe campaigns, and executive producer of the web series “Politically Driven”.
Scott Carlson
Executive Director
Scott Carlson has managed and assisted with Democratic political campaigns in Morris and Passaic counties for over 2 decades. His experience has helped him develop the ability to run large-scale campaigns on small-scale budgets. Scott currently practices law at his law firm, Carlson, Siedsma. LLP in Morristown. During his career, Scott has counseled clients on a wide variety of government issues. Scott resides in Parsippany with his wife and 2 children.
Leslye Moya
Sergeant-At-Arms
Leslye served as the Field Director for the 2019 Carolyn Blackman for Mayor & Council race in Dover. Mayor Blackman was the first female and African-American Mayor of Dover. Leslye went on to become the Political Director of the Morris County Democratic Committee until 2021. Leslye currently serves as the Secretary of the Young Democrats of Morris County and sits on the Adult Advisory Board of the NJ High School Democrats.
John Aden
Secretary
Born in Minnesota and raised in California, John Aden settled in New Jersey in 1986. John has run for Mayor of Florham Park twice and both times, he helped spread the principles and policies of the Democratic party. John serves as Chairman of the Florham Park Democratic Committee. John has resided in Florham Park for more than 30 years. There, he raised his 2 children.
Austin Ashley
Treasurer
Austin is a lifelong democrat and resident of Mountain Lakes, where he lives with his wife Laura and their three children since 2016. He is a former resident of the Borough of New Milford in Bergen County, where he served on the Borough Council from 2011 to 2015. Austin has served as the Treasurer for numerous democratic campaigns and municipal organizations. Austin has been actively involved with democratic politics for over 20 years. Currently, he is the Deputy Borough Administrator of the Borough of Palisades Park.

Elliot Schneier
Political Director
Elliot Schneier has been the political director since July of 2021. Before taking on the role he studied politics and economics at Trinity College Dublin, and Elliot has been part of several political campaigns in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
