Candidate Bio
A Rockaway Township and White Meadow Lake resident with his incredible wife Caroline Langer since 2000, Matt is a former Democratic candidate for Mayor of Rockaway Township, Morris County Freeholder, and Rockaway Township Council. He is a member of and previous chairperson of the Rockaway Township Democratic Committee and a founding member of the Rockaway Township Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Matt is a veteran of the U.S. Army and experienced communicator, who currently works as an Operations Manager for Verizon supporting small and medium businesses. Caroline and Matt enjoy designing their home and garden, boating on White Meadow Lake and riding their motorscooter through the beautiful streets of Morris County. Matt is eager to put his communications, business leadership and military experience to work improving the community and building a more open and inclusive government for all the people of Rockaway Township.
